Welcome to Madresatul Banaat Almuslimaat’s (Muslim Girls School) website!

Alhamdulillah, Madresatul Banaat Almuslimaat, the first Muslim girls school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a non-profit, charitable organization that is inspected by, and has received credit-granting authority from, the Ontario Ministry of Education and is also a Waqf Lillahi Taala, working for the welfare of the community. We provide Elementary and Secondary education from grades 6-12, for girls only.

Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Almighty Allah and with the generous support of our community, we also provide Primary education from JK to grade 5 for girls (JK to grade 3 for boys) at the same location (under the same management), at our junior school Madresatul Atfaal Almuslimeen (Muslim Children’s School).

We consider it our foremost duty to educate our students to reach their full potential in a dynamic Islamic centered learning environment. We believe that faith in Allah (swt) gives meaning and purpose to life and that our success and the success of entire humankind lies in obeying the commandments of Allah (swt) and following the pattern of Muhammad Rasulullah (saw).

Concerning the rights, education and training of our children, our Noble Rasul (saw) has instructed us to:

“Treat children with kindness and give them a good education” (Ibn Maajah)

“Give due respect and regard to your children and decorate them with the best of manners.” (Abu Daud) and

“Instill in children love for me and my family and teach them to recite the Quran because those who know the Quran will be under the shadow of the ‘Arsh (Throne of Allah Most Highi” (Tabraani),

He has also said that:

“The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Bukhari) and

“The search for knowledge is an obligation laid on every Muslim.” (Ibn Majah and Baihaqi)

The duty of educating and training our children to become decent and responsible citizens is a collective one, involving both parents and the community, which must begin at an early age.

Working together with parents and/or guardians, our goal, through our junior school’s motto (Iqra ﺇﻗﺮﺃ, Iman ﺇﻴﻤﺎ ﻦ, Adab ﺃﺪ۱ﺐ, and Aamal ﺃﻋﻤﺎﻞ), is to teach students to read (Iqra ﺇﻗﺮﺍ Recite), learn about and strengthen their faith (Iman, ﺇﻴﻤﺎ ﻦ), learn the proper Islamic etiquette (Adab, ﺃﺪ۱ﺐ ) for every aspect of their lives, which in turn Insha Allah will be put into practice (Aamal  ﺃﻋﻤﺎ ﻞ Action) in everyday life.

We encourage our daughters at Madresatul Banaat Almuslimaat through our school motto (Taleem ﺗﻌﻠﯿﻢ, Taqwa ﺗﻗﻮﻱ and Tabligh ﺗﺒﻠﯿﻎ) to receive a sound education (Taleem, ﺗﻌﻠﯿﻢ), which, Insha Allah, will instill a fear and love for Allah (swt) in their hearts (Taqwa ﺗﻗﻮﻱ Piety), and allow them to communicate and thus propagate our beautiful deen to others, both through their words and actions (Tabligh ﺗﺒﻠﯿﻎ Propagation).

In essence, we train our students to imbibe the tenets of Islam and grow up to be ideal peaceful Muslims and responsible Canadian citizens, so that they will serve as role models for other Muslims to follow. By the virtue of this they will realize the peace and contentment of this life and the eternal bliss of the Hereafter, Insha Allah.

We sincerely hope that you will learn more about our institution from this website, and Insha Allah, it will help you to support us in our efforts to impart Islamic education to today’s Muslim youth and help build a stronger Ummah of tomorrow.

Thanking you sincerely,

Syed A. Qadri
